Privacy Policy
Effective Date: 1 January 2025 · Last Updated: 1 January 2025
NetLumen Technologies LLP (“NetLumen”, “we”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Policy explains what personal data we collect through netlumentech.com, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
When you submit our contact form or request a product demo, we collect: your full name, business email address, phone number, company name, product of interest, and message content. This information is used solely to respond to your enquiry and provide you with relevant product information.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you visit our website (with your consent), we collect: your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type (desktop/mobile/tablet), pages visited and time spent, referring website or source, and UTM campaign parameters if you arrive via a marketing link. We use IP-based geolocation (via ip-api.com) to determine your approximate country and city — this is used only for analytics aggregation and is not stored at individual level beyond 30 days.
1.3 Cookies and Local Storage
We use browser localStorage to store your cookie consent preference and session state. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking cookies. Analytics data is collected only after you accept cookies via our consent banner.
2. How We Use Your Information
2.1 Contact Form Submissions
Your contact details are used to: respond to your enquiry, schedule product demonstrations, send relevant product information, and follow up on your requirements. We do not add you to marketing lists without explicit consent. You may opt out of follow-up communications at any time by emailing privacy@netlumentech.com.
2.2 Analytics Data
Aggregated, anonymised analytics data helps us understand how our website is used, which pages are most valuable, and how to improve our user experience. We do not sell, rent, or share analytics data with third parties for advertising purposes.
2.3 Legal Basis (for EEA/UK visitors)
For visitors from the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, our legal basis for processing contact form data is legitimate interest (responding to business enquiries). Analytics data is processed based on your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
3. Data Sharing and Third Parties
3.1 Service Providers
We share data only with service providers necessary to operate our business: our SMTP email provider (to deliver your enquiry to our team), our cloud hosting provider (to serve this website), and our CRM system (to manage follow-up). All service providers are contractually bound to handle data securely and not use it for their own purposes.
3.2 No Sale of Personal Data
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to any third party. We do not use your data for behavioural advertising or share it with data brokers.
3.3 Legal Disclosures
We may disclose personal information if required by law, court order, or government authority, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
4. Data Security and Retention
4.1 Security Measures
We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS/HTTPS encryption for all data in transit, access controls limiting data access to authorised personnel, regular security reviews, and rate limiting and bot protection on our contact form.
4.2 Retention Periods
Contact form submissions are retained for up to 3 years for business follow-up purposes, after which they are permanently deleted. Anonymous analytics data (page views, device/country aggregates) is retained for 12 months. Cookie consent preferences are stored locally in your browser and are not sent to our servers.
5. Your Rights
5.1 Under Indian Law (DPDP Act, 2023)
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to: access a summary of your personal data we hold, correct inaccurate personal data, request erasure of your personal data (subject to legal obligations), and nominate a person to exercise your rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity.
5.2 For EEA/UK Residents (GDPR)
You additionally have the right to: data portability (receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format), restrict processing, object to processing, and lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
5.3 Exercising Your Rights
To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@netlumentech.com with the subject "Privacy Request". We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before processing requests.
7. Children's Privacy
Our website and services are intended for business use by adults (18 years and over). We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 years of age. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately at privacy@netlumentech.com.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any revisions.
