PA system for schools and college campuses

A school or college campus has many buildings and one office trying to reach all of them. Timings change during exams, an announcement meant for the hostel is heard in the library, and a notice for a single block means sending someone across the grounds. With older public address wiring, even a small change becomes a job for an electrician.

Broadcast is an IP-based public address system that is managed centrally. Zone-based Broadcasting lets the office address one block, several blocks or the whole campus, and Scheduled Announcements take care of notices that go out at fixed times. Emergency Alert Priority gives an urgent message precedence over routine audio.

01

Speak to one block or all

A notice about the science practical does not need to interrupt the primary wing. With Zone-based Broadcasting and Multi-zone Control, each building or area can be its own zone. Staff choose which zones hear an announcement, so an examination hall can stay quiet while the playground, canteen and hostel are addressed.

02

Routine notices on a timetable

Much of what a campus announces is the same from one day to the next. Scheduled Announcements let the office set these up once and have them play at the chosen times, rather than relying on someone to remember. Background Music can be played in shared areas such as the canteen or the assembly ground.

03

Managed from the office

Because Broadcast runs over the campus network, it does not have to be operated from a single microphone room. Remote Management lets authorised staff control zones and schedules centrally. SIP Integration allows it to work with SIP-based telephony, and API Control is available if your IT team wants other software to trigger announcements.

FAQ

Common questions

What is an IP-based PA system for a school?

It is a public address system that runs over the campus data network instead of dedicated audio wiring, so zones, schedules and announcements are managed centrally.

Can we make an announcement to only one building or block?

Yes. Zone-based Broadcasting and Multi-zone Control let you choose which zones hear each announcement.

Can a campus announcement system play notices automatically?

Yes. Scheduled Announcements play at the times you set.

Can an urgent announcement interrupt scheduled audio?

Yes. Emergency Alert Priority gives an urgent announcement precedence over scheduled notices and background music. It works alongside your statutory alarm systems and does not replace them.
