Solution
IP PBX for hotels and resorts
A hotel telephone system has to do several jobs at once. Guests dial from their rooms and expect someone to pick up. Outside callers want reservations, the banquet office or a guest by name. Front desk, housekeeping, kitchen and maintenance need to reach each other quickly, and the property still has to make announcements in the lobby, corridors and back-of-house areas.
CorePBX is an IP PBX that can be cloud-hosted or on-premise. It gives rooms and departments their own extensions and routes calls with an IVR, call queues and hunt groups. Broadcast adds IP public address, so announcements, background music and emergency alerts are managed centrally alongside the phone system.
Extensions for rooms and departments
With Extension Management in CorePBX, each guest room, service desk and back-office team is set up as an extension from one place. Adding a room, renaming a department or moving a desk is a configuration change, not a rewiring job. Outside lines reach the property through SIP Trunking.
Getting guest calls answered
The IVR Designer lets you build a menu so outside callers choose reservations, front desk or events. Call Queues and ACD hold callers in order when the desk is busy, and Hunt Groups ring several housekeeping or room service phones together so a guest request is not left waiting on one handset.
Paging and announcements across the property
Broadcast uses Zone-based Broadcasting so a message can go to the lobby, the pool area or staff corridors only. Scheduled Announcements cover routine notices, Background Music plays in public areas, and Emergency Alert Priority lets an urgent message override whatever else is playing. SIP Integration links paging to the phone system.

FAQ
Common questions
What is an IP PBX for a hotel?
It is a phone system that runs over the hotel's data network and gives rooms, service desks and offices their own extensions. CorePBX handles the extensions, call routing and outside lines from one system.
Can a hotel phone system be hosted in the cloud?
Yes. CorePBX can be cloud-hosted or installed on-premise, and the choice usually depends on how the property manages its network and IT.
How are calls routed when the front desk is busy?
Call Queues and ACD keep callers in line and pass them to the next free person, while Hunt Groups can ring a group of phones together. Voicemail to Email delivers messages left for back-office staff to their inbox.
Can the phone system make announcements in public areas?
Announcements are handled by Broadcast, NetLumen's IP public address product. It supports zone-based paging, scheduled announcements and emergency alerts with priority, and connects to telephony through SIP Integration.
